Where Vinyl Makes Sense
LVP and rigid-core SPC are made to cope with water. Put them in a basement, kitchen, bathroom or family room, the places where a leak would swell laminate or stain hardwood.
SPC has a core of stone powder and plastic, which keeps it steady as the seasons change and gives it a firm feel underfoot. Most planks click together and float over the subfloor, so the install goes fast and leaves little mess. Vinyl works in most rooms, and it earns its keep in:

Is vinyl plank waterproof, and will it work in a basement?
SPC and luxury vinyl planks are waterproof, so they suit basements, kitchens and front entries. Water that seeps under the floor still needs drying out. A leak will not ruin the planks, but you will still have to deal with it.
Click vinyl or glue-down: which is better?
Click vinyl floats on the subfloor and goes in faster, which suits most homes. Glue-down stays put across big open areas and commercial spaces, and it asks for a flatter base.
How many days does a vinyl install take?
Most rooms are typically completed in one to three days, depending on size and subfloor. You get the dates in writing before we begin, and we tidy up at the close of every workday.
